Michael Smith

Lead Pastor

Michael Smith has been involved with Student Ministry for over 9 years in Oklahoma, Texas and Arkansas. During that time, he attended and graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Michael is married to Jennifer and they have 3 sons. The Smith crew moved to Northwest Arkansas in October 2009. After being here a few months, they started the process to adopt. In July 2010 they adopted twin boys. One of their sons, Lucas, has been diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. That began a journey of God stirring a desire to plant an inclusive church. One that welcomes families with disabilities. Michael and Jennifer love working with teenagers and had devoted their lives to student ministry, but God began to plant seeds into their hearts to pursue church planting. After praying and dreaming they have set out to plant Journey Church Siloam Springs! michael@journeysiloam.com

Cody has facilitated worship leading for years in local churches around Northwest Arkansas. Growing up in the area, he’s always had a passion for the area and understands its potential to eventually reach the nation and world with the Gospel. Cody developed a heart for worship at a young age, mirroring his mother endlessly singing around the house and his father always keeping rhythm on the dashboard. With his grandfather being a brilliant guitarist, mother an excellent vocalist, and father an extraordinary drummer, music is in his blood. He’s played an instrument and helped lead worship since his teen years. After moving to Fort Smith and graduating college with a Bachelor of Business – Marketing, Cody moved back to Northwest Arkansas. Years of working in the marketing sector, he’s followed God’s calling to full-time ministry. His first step included an incredible training ground serving at Fellowship Bible NWA as a Ministry Resident. Equipped with new experiences that have influenced the way he regarded worship, Cody has been inspired to serve the church and lead people in authentic, Christ-centered worship.
Cody enjoys live music, good food, and spending time outdoors. He also loves to travel the world and be active through playing sports. Cody is passionate about daily worship and relentlessly experiencing the life-changing power of the Gospel. He is praying specifically that the Spirit would burst forth and that Journey Church would be a far-reaching, genuine place of worship. cody@journeysiloam.com
